Thresher Shark Fishing on the Pacifica Pier , California. (Shark # 2)

Me and my shark crew landing a 17.6 lbs and 58 12/16 inch (female) Thresher on 7/31/09,,,,,,, After landing it and thinking about it,,,,,,,I ended up releasing this shark shorty after this video was taken,,,,,,,,,,,I hope that I will catch it "again" one day when it grows much bigger...

is a size 12/0 gaff big enough for a thresher?

Well I personally rather have a bigger gaff then that "but" a 12/0 gaff is better then not having a gaff at all.

you must have good luck at pacifica cause the only thing i get out there is cabezone and these groupers

"Yea",,,,I use live bait when possibe "but" i've caught on frozen bait before!!!,,,,And we were using sardines and makerel for bait,,,,I never caught one with an anchovie yet although I'm sure they would work too,,,,,"peace"...
