Track #2 from "Palm Wine Guitar Music: The 60's Sound"
Image: "Blue #1" by Harley Hahn www.harley.com

Lyrics:

Now mister please go easy with me
I say please go easy with me
I quite agree that you can dance very well
Oh, please go easy with me

I don't love you when you holding my hips
Why should you rough me like this
I don't love you when you touching my breast
I want you to be at your best

Mister please go easy, oh
Please mister go easy with me

Now what I want is an easy movement
So can you go gently with me

Now what I want is freedom of my legs
So can they kick back over to you

I don't love you when you holding my hips
Why should you rough me like this
I don't love you when you touching my breast
I want you to be at your best

Mister please go easy oh,
Please mister go easy with me

It is too bad the music is sweet
( -- )

Now what I feel is that you're getting too hot
So please suppress your feeling I say mister please suppress your feeling

I don't love you when you holding my hips
Why should you rough me like this
I don't love you when you touching my breast
I want you to be at your best

  • lyrics? I can't seem to find any.

  • @enidthezombie Hi Enid, I gave it my best go, check the description. Has a very different tone if you read them alone, so don't...maybe just assume it's as sweet as it sounds.

  • @ThePilch89 it's about a man grabbig to much, when dancing with a woman:)

  • so good

  • This may not be as bad as people think, yes, its obviously, its about slavery, which most of us see as wrong, if not all. number one, if slavery is accepted in a certain culture who are we to argue against it? Number two, this may not be about the slave trade everyone knows, this is Ghanian palm wine music, a place where slavery was common within African culture, long before, and long after Europeans entered Africa, people where actually used as currency.

  • god bless s.e. rogie

  • It sounds like he says "Mister, please go easy. Oh, it's time to go easy with me." AND "It's time to suppress". Other than that, everything sounded correct. I totally dig the song, mon.

  • such a good track, so mellow
