When you're a trumpet player (in high school, at least), you WANT to play this very fast, to show off. But you're right, TectonaRivv, faster isn't always better, and this tempo works just fine for the piece. Anderson himself had a very casual feel to most of his pieces when conducting, and I think these guys nailed it. Well done!

The player third from the left is Chris' brother Mike, a current senior undergrad at Northwestern.

There were actually six of us. We doubled the parts, as our director wanted three of us students to have a chance to play with them.
