in the times of Gods' permissive will, we have so many options as to be utterly confounding... and lest I fall into inaction, i must wrestle with the moment, do battle with the spirit within and without me with the armor of the Holy Spirit on my side... rawr...

  • Friend, your sniffling, sneezing, and hawking (this is the fifth video of yours I am watching) interfere with viewers' concentration on what you are saying.

Please look into getting and regularly taking antihistamines. Fexofenadine HCl alternating with loratidine helps many people. You want your viewers/listeners to concentrate on the message and not be distracted, don't you?

  • @ClaireConrad my allergies are a blessed source of affliction to me. i have tried to be more & more cautious about my sniffling & sneezing & such (much due to my wife's behest) as they are certainly distracting & annoying to me, as well.

sometimes i feel as though those normalcies, though, may help. i know i have seen much of the snake-oil salesman in a smoothly delivered Christ pitch by a spotless white man in a suit. So my prayer is that God will use even my infirmity for His kingdom!

  • I am still confused as to how I can live in God's name. People say " love God and turn to him" but I think...yeah ok then what? there has to be a way good Christians live that I can learn from...I mean I wonder what is different between my life now versus how others talk about spirituality? Basically it seems like a non believer's life and a christians life are the same, same ways of doing things providing they are both moral except one believes in a God..but How do you go about living with God?

  • well, what Jesus taught was that there is a enormous gap between the transformed life and the typical earth-bound existence and that there is no morality outside of Gods Law & His Grace.

For me, too, it's a day to day thing... seeking Him in all things... literally just ASKING Lord, how can i glorify you in this? What about this? What about this?

If I get real stuck, i do some concordance searching in the bible, some prayer-searching in my soul and even if i don't get a "eureka" moment...

  • i usually get some peace.

i actually think there's been a huge difference in my heart - and my life in general - the more i've leaned on God and the life of Christ instead of any aspect of even my cherished morality or personal guiding principles...

and it was a rare occasion without Christ that i endeavored to serve and live outside of the sole motivating influence of my selfishness/sin... even if it occasionally lead me to commit kindness...

    if that makes sense?

  • Do'nt do anything for not to sneeze : so hot !

  • my armor: angels in my life such as you, breathing, listening, patience...

  • The Bible describes itself as a "lamp unto our feet". (Psalm 119:105) I read a commentary on that once that I have never forgotten. It explained how in the old times travelers would carry a lamp (essentially a candle in a container) when they journeyed at night. This gave them only enough illumination for the next footfall. So, like the manna, which had to be gathered every day, we have to prayerfully, faithfully seek the light of God's scriptures to help us see for the next step.
