-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome to my review of the DX Hiden Kaisekiki Inroumaru 秘伝解析器インロウマル

The Inroumaru is a Henshin Upgrade Device much like the Super Geki Claw in Gekiranger. The resulting Henshin produces Super Shinkenger (スーパーシンケンジャー). Since there is only one Inroumaru, there can only be one Super Shinkenger at a time. To transform into a Super Shinkenger, the Super Disk (スーパーディスク) is used. The Inroumaru can combine with the Shinkenmaru (which I do not own-don't ask) to become the Super Shinkenmaru (スーパーシンケンマル). Also, the Inroumaru uses Shin Samurai Gattai Disk (真侍合体ディスク) to form Daikai Shinkenoh (ダイカイシンケンオー)

OK, for starters I have to say that Shinkenger toys are very unappealing to me in general. As of right now I only own four toys total. Shodophone, Shinkenoh, Sushi Changer and now the Inroumaru. The only reason I bought the Inroumaru is because it is a Henshin Device (my specialty).

The idea of this toy is a gimmick. It's Bandai checking to make sure you've been buying everything up to this point that has a Hiden Disk in it. Prior to owning this I only owned two Hiden Disks... The Shield Disk that comes with Shinkenoh and the Sushi Changer's Sushi Disk. This pretty much renders the Inroumaru useless to me. There is something like 16 DX Hiden Disks as of right now and I have four. This limits the Inroumaru's playability dramatically.

The toy as it is...it's pretty weak. I was hoping that it would atleast have the ability to spin the Hiden Disks to show off the animation...but then what chance would there be that i'd go out and buy a Shinkenmaru then? It's designed to just latch on the the Shinkenmaru like a massive (and I mean massive) tumor. I mean, it's a nice sized toy....but the Shinkenmaru is tiny. It doesn't look right.

If this toy has one redeeming quality, it's that the boxart is nicely done. It's nice to see that Shinkenger isn't sticking with one style of boxart the entire series.

Anyway...if you're a Die Hard Shinkenger fan or a Henshin Device collection (like me) then the Inroumaru is worth picking up. Anybody else...skip it. If these are clearanced cheaply enough once the series ends...pick it up then.
