  • @rosewoodhollow Everyone does over there. It's very practical in the sun, wind, dust. Most of us did in OIF, too.

  • wood burns down to charcoal. You can smelt iron in a campfire with a bellows.

  • Would a wood fire melt the ore or was charcoal required?
