Ken Livingstone, former leader of the GLC, Member of Parliament and the first democratically-elected Mayor of London is the official Labour candidate to succeed Boris Johnson as London Mayor in 2012.
During his time as Mayor, Ken introduced the London Living Wage, which enabled those picking up the lowest wages in the city to achieve decent pay, dignity and respect unrivaled in any other UK city. Internationally, he made his mark by making London a Nuclear-Free Zone, cultivating cordial relations with the socialist government of Venezuela and playing an integral role in bringing the Olympics to London.

As far as I know this was never supposed to be a serious endorsement of Ken Livingstone. It came from a 1980s satirical Comic Strip episode, where "Ken" was an over-the-top superman politician.

Well... To tell you the truth, I originally put this up as a way of both supporting Ken for London Mayor in 2008, and giving this rare song an outlet on the Tube, so both political and KB fan discussion is encouraged.

Would just like to say - thanks sooooo much , have been looking for the full version of this song for ages. My fav ever episode of Comic Strip- classic.
Also can i just say - Boris really people? I moved out of London 18 months ago and still can't believe that a racist,homophobic philanderer who cant even comb his own hair has been elected the mayor, whatever you think of Ken. Seriously people ????????
