  • Beautiful to watch. I'm dying for you to bring out a little clip that shows (slowly) you making the double stitch. Your particular method is the most 'fluid and efficient' I've ever seen. The only trouble is that it is so efficient and quick I can't quite see it all in enough detail to copy you! (Imitation being the sincerest form of flattery) ;-)Regs... Megs

  • Hi Megs,

I'll see what I can do!

  • Great explanation and demonstration. Thank you for showing two methods. Music is lovely too. Thought this would be a difficult technique, but feel confident. Just learning, it took some time to learn the flip, and now this requires "unlearning" it.

  • Thank you for this! This is the first video in which I actually GET IT! Thank you so much for sharing!!!

  • In this amazing age of technology I now have numerous tatting teachers online. Thank you for being one of the most skilled. I own many vintage craft books and I have never seen the split ring technique explained like this. You are a treasure. Thank You for sharing.

  • thank you - very clear instructions

  • I saw another tutorial for split rings too, but it can't get better and clearer than this. Thank you so much!

  • Oh thank you so very much for the wonderful instructions. I agree with Megs your description is so very fluid. I am 65 years old and about five years ago I taught myself and let me tell you it was challenging because I didn't know anyone who knew how to tat. Again I say thank you for you time and wonderful tutorial.

  • Thank you for a very comprehensive demo of this technique which is so well described that even a rank novice can do it.
