Okay, now that you've watched me play a few examples of two-handed piano playing, it's time for you to join me on the keyboard and play your first piano assignment with both hands! And I really hope you've been practicing your numbered fingering exercises during our fist six lessons, because now all that hard work is going to come in handy. We'll begin slowly practicing two separate piano pieces with each hand and then use a computerized metronome to guide us along by paying special attention the THE BEAT!

  • Hello. Was just wondering (as a complete novice) will all this translate when it comes to reading music??? Coz I need to read music and don't want to confuse myself. Im enjoying this A LOT- so hope the answer is YES. I've noticed sometimes I dont seem to be reading the numbers my hands just seem to be doing the work which is a wierd out of body experience lol :) xxx

  • @sherriberry1000 - If you're enjoying it that's good enough. No this has nothing to do with reading sheet music (that is an involved study altogether). These lessons will show you finger coordination (which is also important). If you want a complete piano system, I recommend several different courses on my website ;)

  • Sir I have been practising your lesson from "get piano lesson 1 part two" till "get piano lesson 7 part two"...but I am not getting lesson 8 part two kindly help....Thank you.

  • @victory1239 - thats because there is NO part two to lesson 8, or 9 or 10

  • I ve been followong your piano lesson from the youtube for almost one month now and I intent to buy the VCD as well. but I have a question can I switch to music score later on to read all song and music or I have to relie on the numbers forever.......

  • @Lazamable - of course not. The numbers are there to get you started immediately on the piano keyboard without needing to learn notation first. You can learn to read sheet music at any time. Also, keep in mind that the numbering of your fingers WILL ALWAYS be the same numbers even after you begin learning music notation.

  • Love your vids, they are really helping me learn to play the keyboard. Only complaint is that you seem to spend a lot of time explaining some of the easier straight forward concepts, but then zip through the more complicated exercises. Either way, all your vids are 5 star!

  • @sinancans Actually you're goal should eventually be NOT to watch your hands at all. you must learn each hand individually first.

And when I say "learn each hand" I mean you should be able to play the sperate passages without looking at the hand*

If you can only play the piano by looking at your fingers - what happens when somebody turns off the lights? - SO keep practicing*

  • I'm going to practice playing the 12345/54321 simultaneously...maybe that will help with my coordination..Cuz this one song I'm learning i need to play with both hands..and its not easy to do..My hand coordination is horrible

  • piano is so hard first you have to learn the key second you have to keep on track with the other hand and third you need to time your playing of your song and i still cant remember all of them

  • DX Oh gawd. -w- This is so hard for me, I keep confusing my numbers and my hands. .3. Man, I feel so useless.

  • Ok thanks Mr. I will complete this first and then move on :) The thing I wanna do most is play and sing so this will be great. Will also check the website. Expect lots more pestering from me as Im sure I'll get stuck soon x :D

  • @getpianolessons Tq sir you have clear my doubt..
