@dredding82 If you add NaCl the electrolysis will also cause the Cl to bubble out contaminating the H2 O2 mixture. I don't know why he says he is making hydrogen when he still has oxygen mixed in.

Those aren't electrolytes... Those are salts. If you dissolve them in water, they split up into electrolytes. But they aren't electrolytes in itself.
