No points in this game for Blackhawk "Buffalo boy" Patrick Kane. But the Hawks won on home ice, 4-1. Patrick Lalime, who had played the previous two seasons with the Blackhawks, was shaky as he faced his former teammates for the first time since signing with the Sabres as a free agent in July '08. Chicago's win prompted the Sabres to turn it up a notch for the next three games - and they did, winning all three. They then lost 5-3 to Tampa Bay before annihilating Edmonton, 10-2, on January 27/09.
