'Dwelling in Bed Ain't Bad' by Paul Haenen with Mike Starink and Jeroen Bos.
10 - 15 May 2011 Riverside Studios Hammersmith London.
The play has been attracting full audiences since it first opened in October 2009 at the Betty Asfalt Complex in Amsterdam. It's now in its third successful season.
Dwelling in Bed Ain't Bad is a story of two passionate young men who discuss their lives whilst lying in bed together. Their conversation moves effortlessly between the universal themes of love, jealousy and hope and will strike a chord with many -- a humorous performance but with an insightful perspective on everyday life.
One is a sensible ex-tv host in his mid-thirties, the other is younger and more philosophical.
TimeOut (Amsterdam) wrote: The English language version of Paul Haenen's Dutch two-hander about a male couple and their reflections on the love pursuit. The play has been praised for its intimate observation of two men's attempt to come to terms with the fact that they each have a past that's not necessarily all that loveable. Art with a heart!
Paul Haenen is one of the most outstanding Dutch playwrights and in Holland known as a comedian and tv-host.
