Why would they want to use Japanese-American spies when there was such a heightened suspicion towards them?

Even if they did occassionally it wouldve been more logical to recruit white spies & so logically a white person was actually more likely to be a Japanese spy than a Japanese-American.

The Japanese govt. was building a spy network on our west coast the proof of this is in the "magic " info. ( intercepted and decoded radio traffic between the Japanese govt. and their consulates
and embassy in the U.S. ) Magic info was
so escret it was kept that way even after the war ended until released in the 1980's
