To answer the trainkids's question the locomotive has French and English language installed on it.

WOW! I love that locomotive! But does MTH have specified Orient Express passenger cars? And is that blue locomotive the Duchess?

I think a really cool feature for this engine would being able to change the langauge of the crew talk so we can understand what they're saying, LOL!!!! This engine sure looks nice!

I hate to criticise a beautiful loco but it looks to me like the union link on the right hand valve gear has been fitted in the factory backwards! Compare it with the picture on the MTH website....

The more I look at it the more I'm sure. I'd take it back if I were you- unless it looks repairable yourself? I hope mine doesn't have the same problem!

Yes, now that I have examined it I believe you are correct. This would not be an easy repair. I'll call the vendor and see what they say. Thanks.

Yes, the dealer swapped it out for another one that is assembled correctly. Glad you like yours.
