Anjuli Ahooja has a PhD in Physics and 17 years combined experience in research, e-learning, teaching, publishing, faculty supervision, academic administration, and curriculum writing, at University, College and High School level.
Currently, Anjuli is the AP Physics teacher for the Science Department at Appleby College, an elite Independent High School in Oakville. Prior to this, Anjuli was Associate Dean / Chair of Electronics Engineering Technology programs at DeVry College of Technology.
Anjuli has extensive experience in e-learning; and development, implementation, maintenance, assessment, accreditation and revisions of curriculum. She has developed grades 11 and 12 online courses with voice-over and write-over PPT presentations, worksheets, teacher notes and experiments.
Recently, Anjuli was sponsored by Canadian Light Source Inc. (Synchrotron facility at U of Saskatchewan) to present at the Science on Stage Canada conference. She is a member of NSTA's College Teaching Committee and STAO Safety Committee. Anjuli is an active member of SCCAO, and OAPT.
Anjuli is a unit author for Pearson Publisher's text PhysicsSource11. Her paper on "Problem Solving is not a Problem" was also published in STAO's magazine Crucible. She has also worked with McGraw Hill Ryerson as a member of their technology and academic teams, and also as an author of the physics strands of their grade 9 and 10 HW books.
For six summers, Anjuli taught the second term physics course at McMaster University. She was a member of the team to do a review of the grade 11 and 12 physics curriculum at the Ministry's Assessment and Evaluation Branch.
Anjuli initiated and led the FIRST Robotics team at Appleby College for three years. The team won the Rookie All Star and Regional Championship. At DeVry, she led numerous 'Women in Technology' workshops. Her interests include, learning new technologies, helping new immigrants, traveling, meeting people, cooking, watching television.
