Today we will talk about China. On the 1st of October, the Peoples Republic of China will be celebrating its 60th anniversary. Earlier this year, world media commemorated the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989, while this date went mostly unnoticed in China itself. How do the Chinese see their recent history and how does it affect their present time? Well be talking about this with prominent Russian sinologist, Aleksandr Pantsov.

  • The guy with glasses is right on many points.

    1) China is developing it's middle class. Without the middle class, democracy is meaning less. Another point worth me to add is that majority of Chinese right now is comfortable with their one party - the CCP ruling.

    2) Had the students succeeded in 1989, China would be broken China no more. XinJiang and Tibet would be now under Taliban's black foe.

I am tired of bullshit like "American media is controlled by [blank]"

Because Americans (liberals and conservatives alike) CHOOSE to see propaganda rather than informative news; liberals want to blame the corporation and the conservatives want to blame liberals. When both sides hear the things they don't want to hear, they start to blame "[blank] controlled the government/media..."

I am tired of blaming games.

  • @jewishwarrior666 I totally agree. US govt controls corporate-owned media and lies to their own citizens. The documentary "The New American Century" points this out. Also "One Nation Under Seige" and "War Made Easy".

  • @namvietnetwork If you study more about history, Tibetans kept harassing Chinese western borders time and again for many dynasties since 2200 years ago. Chinese people have no other choice but to keep these greedy nomadic people under control~

  • Just let all the protestors be. They only know to bark like dogs and won't change any thing the fact that China will become the next superpower.

  • @jewishwarrior666

China is irresponsible. It is fucking over Tibet.

  • @khanbaliq

Eat shit and die you cocksucker. I know you have a dick, so spit it out, it's mine.

  • Dr. Pantsov was my Global Awareness professor this year. What an honor!

I don't have a problem with china, they're not the ones exporting war and revolution around the world and invading sovereign countries under the pretext of WMD! The chinese aren't the ones bombing innocent men, women and children everyday now are they??? Fuck you white trash!!!

  • @CurlyGangster

Why don't you research the Patriot Act and ponder that one???
