Impractical Pitfall Trap

Hey guys, first minecraft video here. Just demonstrating my impractical pitfall trap invention. I doubt I'll be creating a tutorial on how to create this, as I myself am not sure how to create this legitly (used inventory edit + fly mod to create this). It only just started out as a thought, and I never thought through how I would go about creating this; I just did it on the fly. Also, resetting this trap is a huge hassle, and it is possible to escape the trap before you get caught.

Also, you can turn this trap into a lethal one by simply getting rid of the signs that hold up the lava at the very bottom.

@Kartoffelcracker: once again, it's only a demonstration. Normally, you would build the entire trap underground, and every block surrounding the trap from the lava level downwards would be made of obsidian. The glass was only put in place to show the inner workings of the trap.
