Welcome Chihayafuru fans! Held every Jan. 3 at Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto, Japan, Karuta Hajime is the year's first karuta card game. Dressed in colorful Heian-Period kimono, Karuta players from the Nihon Karuta-in Hon-in organization in Kyoto play on Yasaka Shrine's Noh stage for about an hour from 1 pm. • Thumbs up if you came here because of Chihayafuru!

  • @SpaceClown404 Doesn't matter as long as you get the correct card. Hell, if you want, you can smash 6 cards out of the way, as long as the right one is in the ones you blew away. Or so I've been taught by Chihayafuru, hehe.

  • @Kon3ko Hai hai haiii :D

  • @Kon3ko hahahahahaha

  • @Mavz0r like if you smashed the whole board =.=

  • Game begins at 7:31

  • The Japanese have an enviably rich culture.

  • They're really elegant.

  • damn they r all like clowns with only white makeup

and yes chihayafuru brought me here

  • I think that the reader of the cards in chihayafuru is far more better than the one in this video. It just hurts my ears with that squeaky voice. I think no one smashes the cards like Chihaya does almost everyone plays like the queen.

  • esto se trata de rapidez i memorizar

  • @SYKGC Because this is just a ceremony not a real match of competitive karuta.
