Quite some time ago, Carrie and I visited Costa Rica on a lark, over the weekend. Of course, I brought the Vidster and captured bits and pieces of the visit.
A group of friends and myself found out first hand about this rip tide stuff. 4 of us got sucked out. two of us in our 30's and 2 in their 50's it was insane. I thought I was gonna die that day! We made it though!
I love Costa Rica. I just got back. We spent a few weeks roaming around with a 4x4 and an HD camera. Had a blast and got hours of video. I can't wait to go back.
If you go, don't swim without learning the dangers of rip currents. There are many drownings a year there. someone waist deep can be swept out to sea. Take Caution in the ocean. Swim parallel to the shore to get out. REad up on the dangers!!!!

Did you need to readjust the dark footage?
Because the vidster has an uncanny ability to produce a blue toned image when being shot in the dark.
