Boortz contends that the goverment created the Mortgage Backed Securities Scam? Is he the biggest idiot on the planet? Did they do it to bankrupt millions of investor around the world to the tune of 10 trillion dollars. Did they do it to bankrupt the largest American banks so that they could then turn around and bail them out? The financial crisis was created by Wall Street to sell bogus MBS around the world. They made a fabulous amount of money and when things turned worse they got bailed out.

You got a point. I am a left-wing progressive that listens to "conservative talk radio" to keep informed of their talking points. What Neal Boortz is is a right leaning Libertarian, but he is not your typical right-wing kook especially on social issues where he is more liberal that most people would think. I live in central North Carolina. It was an outrage when WPTF took his show off the air and replaced it with the despicable Mark Levin.

Yes, Bob Barr is a former bigwig conservative Republican member of the House. However, he REALIZED the errors of his ways years later and recanted all that support of the War on Terror, the War in Iraq, The Patriot Act, etc. He became much more of an individualist and realized the GOP is bullshit these days. John McCain only admits the GOP's failures on government spending, really. He's a warmonger, through and through. He supports all that other Republican crap.

Go buy his books, talks about all those things...

And by the way, I haven't been able to listen for quite some time because the trained monkeys in charge of night-time programming at WBT 1110 in Charlotte, NC decided to yank him from his 9 to midnight slot! Nothing against Tara and Wilson and the others who have taken that slot, but why, WBT, would you take a guy off the air with an established audience of over 4 million, many of whom depended on WBT to hear Boortz at night!? Do you know how many listeners you lost by doing that?

Believe me, I have been angered by Boortz many times because he so often talks endlessly about those issues, like Iraq, which would give first-time listeners the impression that he is in bed with Bush and company. I wanted to hear him talk more about marijuana, censorship, gay rights, prostitution, and evolution, but for some reason he spends very little time on those topics!
So, yeah, I can understand why someone would get the wrong idea about his politics based upon 1 or 2 days listening.

And, OK, he has sided with so called "conservatives" on a couple of other things too, like illegal immigration, for instance, but based upon my years of listening to his show, I can say that the man is in no way a "conservative", a "right-winger", and is definitely not a "Republican".
He may be a right-leaning libertarian, or even a libertarian-leaning rightist. You must take into account his entire political/social philosophy before you can place his position on the Nolan Political Chart.

Well, let's see....
Boortz believes in legal marijuana and ending the drug war, supports abortion rights, supports gay rights/equality, opposes any FCC regulation of television/radio content, believes in legal prostitution, opposed the conservatives/religious fanatics in the Terry Schiavo case, and has even stated that anyone who believes in "creationism" is not smart enough, and should not be allowed to vote.
Yet, because he sided with Bush on one issue, Iraq, somehow he is a "NeoCon"?

Everyone is a "NEOCON" to a liberal if you dont share their beliefs. Thats one of their favorite labeling words.

i have no vote in the chambliss election but he would still be more likely to lean right than martin i would assume
If you are voting solely if you hate the "other guy" but don't really care for the "guy" you are voting for, then you are definitely throwing away your vote.
