SHe has a amazing voice but there is no accent at all!

This play was set in modern day America, so no period costumes or Cockney accents. Also, it was done at a musical theater camp. The kids had to learn their lines, blocking and songs and put on a full production in just 3 weeks. There was no time to learn how to do a proper Cockney accent.

Awesome voice!!! Great job. I won't lie though, if you can learn how to do the accent, then that song is a show stopper. I realize you didn't have enough time to learn it. The accent makes Nancy seem more like a poor lowly woman and it makes the song more powerful.

She has a fantastic voice. Excellent job.

And just as a reply to eliminater, in theatre, even though they werent using accents at all, singing with an accent on in broadway singing is often not done because people with accents dont sing with them anyways and it allows for better clarity and diction if you leave the accent out of the singing.

what a voice. I played Nancy a while back but it was costumed and cockney, its refreshing to see a different interpratation.
