Insecurities, insecurities, insecurities... I've never seen so many people argue against something they believe doesn't exist. That's like arguing that the sky is golden... The only reason people argue is to prove something to themselves. If White Privilege doesn't take place, why argue that it doesn't? Why make a point that's supposedly already made? Tisk, tisk... If you wanna hide something from people (especially us Americans), let them benefit from it...

lol the supposed examples of "white privilege" are a bunch of what ifs that are more aptly characterized as right wing hypocrisy. it's so funny. every time i've ever heard an "example" of white privilege, i've been able to intellectually destroy it in seconds.

@arnell313 that's the most idiotic thing i've ever heard. if someone is arguing that it does exist, then people are probably going to argue with them. that's like saying "why do non-believers argue that no god exists?" they do it because they're responding to people that say it exists.

i like that the argument is based on what-if's... those always make a strong case.

also, i thought no one sensible even cared about Palin..? so by default, of course no one cares that her daughter got preggers and she's dumb. we know it, and we try a lot to ignore her, but the media elite (esp fox news, of course) keeps giving her attention.

get a better example or drop the argument. there's no denying minorities have privileges whites don't -- there's no denying affirmative action.

@Christobird Actually your race would matter. You know how lawyers question a witness about their affiliations? This is due to human biases based on our affiliations. If you were black would you feel the same way about this situation and vice versa for me. The answer to that is not definite, but if you're a gambling man/woman the odds would be closer to "yes". Your race doesn't DISCREDIT your argument, it just explains how your opinion was molded.

@KingOCleveland Umm what??? I'm not sure about Mexico, but check in on Africa again. The whites in Africa are either A) Rich enough to volunteer there (its more expensive to volunteer in Africa than any other impoverished lands) or B) They are descendants of wealthy European settlers who colonized the African countries (remember South Africa and Apartheid).
