Final part of the "Fantasia on British Sea Songs" in the Classical Spectacular 2008 at the Birmingham NIA. It includes an encore of "Rule Britannia". For best quality, it is worth reducing the volume when the audience joins in the singing! Enjoy the clip!

  • who sang

  • @imartinow I'm afraid I can't remember that now.

  • what is the first part called?

  • The clip starts with the end of the song "See the Conquering Hero Comes." The Easter hymn "Thine be the Glory" is sung to this tune, and the hymn tune itself is referred to as "Maccabaeus." Hope that helps.

  • Yes they did . This was the tune my wife and I walk down the aisle to after we were married in 1973, and by the way I am not a football fan. It was just an excellent tune You`ll never walk alone!

  • It is a great tune, I had to play it on the organ last year while a newly wed bride and groom signed the marriage register!Although I am not from Liverpool, I still think it is a great song and tune for definite!
