Animal rights? What the hell have animals done to improve our life besides being delicious? They sleep, shit, and eat, and the only reason why they come back is because you feed them. If you want to talk about animals having rights, then why not give insects rights too while we're at it? Why can't people accept that dogs and cats are not on the same level as humans?

@purzheen I agree. I love animals and you do have to be a responsible pet owner. And yes children and pets are not animals. But I also If you kill an animal you better have a damn good reason or I have no respect for you. Animal rights is a very complicated issue. I must say the panel explained it very well.

some people have pets and no childern...did you think about that. And asking "which would matter most:his child or the animal" for some people would be like the equivalent of asking which child is your favor or who do you love more your mom or your dad. Is a douchebag kind of question to ask. Sure there may be an single right answer, but to ask someone to chose between two things that they love is just plain mean.
