@pokemoneinstein They only have slightly above average IVs, and that's only in Generation 2. In Generations 3 and up, the IVs can be anything from 0 to 31.

Ha! In HGSS they took out the bouldrs in the gym XP

the only shiny i ever seen was a fucking tentacool not larvitar or something cool a god damn tentacool
-
The only shiny I ever found/captured was a red gyarados. On platinum.
I was ecstatic but then I realised that Heartgold and Soulsilver would be out soon, and my shiny would become redundant and common.
Goddamn it nintendo.

@PKMNRetrospective I just looked it up. Apparently, in Gen. II, they had better stats. I mean they weren't like Pokémon gods or anything, but they were better. However, since then, their stats are just like any other Pokémon's.
That's pretty stupid.
All shiny Pokémon have better IVs, thus, through training, they are more powerful than normal Pokémon.

@pokemoneinstein true, but isn't it a really really tiny percentage?

About the shinies...I'm pretty sure that Pokemon that were shiny in G/S they had better IVs than normal Pokemon (good for competitive play, even casual).

@tywood2012 and I was sure I read EVERYTHING I could about shinies before talking! My resarch is apparently really really sloppy. I'm gonna' go fix that now. Sorry for another wave of Pokinaccuracy!
