Tantramarsh Club Memories from Mount Allison University

Memories of the Tantramarsh Club, the former campus Pub at Mount Allison University, until the venue was closed on September 30th, 2008.

Thanks to Mike Allison for the first song used in the video. The second track is one that I wrote, with Mike singing, although this is a dance remix by BitFunk, a Toronto producer. Finally, a huge apology to all the staff and customers for whom we did NOT include any footage. Somehow, I have misplaced a large number of video clips, so the selection that we had to work with was rather limited. Maybe someday, if I ever find the rest of the footage, I'll be able to expand on this. Sadly, this still represents a very small cross-section of the literally thousands of friends that I've made at the Pub over the years, and no footage exists of dozens of the most memorable moments from over the years. And of course, although I've got lots of footage from the new Pub, I couldn't include any of that.

@ladwin997: Probably better than the other options! The Torch was good, except for the fact that it is also slang for a joint, and in French, for wiping your ass. Come to think of it, that would have been pretty funny.

Hey, I'm just cleaning up my studio and found a box of 50 original copies of Mike's "greatest hits" CD, "Tilting At Windmills." This is a professionally produced CD, not done by burning CD's. Anyway, I'm going to bring those down to Joey's on Saturday night. The first fifty ALUMNI who are there for the evening will each get a free copy of the CD, just ask Ian on your way in. This doesn't apply during the day, this will start at about 9:30pm when Ian and I start working.

For anyone coming to town this weekend for Homecoming, be aware that the bar on campus is wet/dry, and they’re holding SackVegas that night (semi-formal attire). I’ll be DJ’ing down at Joey’s on Saturday night, and we expect a packed crowd, so come early - I expect that most of the alumni will be there rather than on campus. Full dance floor in effect at Joey’s, plus the whole restaurant and outdoor patio is licensed all day and evening.
