I was having a good chat to my work colleagues, having a cup of coffee, and finishing at 1.00pm. Just the night before I was going to book my son in Auckland a return airfare to Christchurch for the April holidays, but I was so tired, so I was looking forward to getting home and booking the tickets. That didn't happen unfortunately. Instead, my other son that was living with me had to leave and is now in Australia. How I want to forget that day, but I can't :-(
it's so hard to look at these pics of our beautiful ruined city... it just looks like something you'd see on the news, some far away war-torn country :'(
this day was horrible, at the time the quake hit i was at school having lunch with my friends. it was incredible how much the ground can shake. the were about 180 or so people comfurmed dead because on this 6.3 :( R.I.P everyone who was killed on this day
My antie and uncle and two little cousins live only a couple miles away from christchurch but thankfully theyre all ok, but i didnt relize just how bad it was till Antie Kathryn sent me this link. I love New Zealand such a incredible island why did it have to happen to it :(
@drummerzz1 There was one confirmed death, but the question of if it was related to the 6.3 quake is unconfirmed. They believe the quake might have caused an elderly woman have a heart attack. Other than that, no one else seems to have died.
