Al-Fatehah Memali portrays the journey of singer-songwriter, Black and Meor, trying to comprehend a massacre that happened in 1985 in Kg. Memali, Kedah. Their journey brings them to the village where they meet the survivors and witness of the tragedy to uncover a forgotten story of injustice for most Malaysia, but one forever etched in the hearts of those Memali.

Rahmat Haron is freelance writer, artiste, and art activist. Formerly trained in economic, Rahmat actively involved in writing poetry, literature, theatre, as well as making videos and performance arts.

Known as a supporter to political change for Malaysia, he is the director to Teater Bukan Teater stage play and al-Fatihah Untuk Memali documentary.

He also has released his book, Utopia Trauma which compiles his writings and artworks.

The former member of Universiti Bandar Utama (UBU) is also a blogger which he currently shares his ideas and thought at www.sampahseni.blogspot.com

In 2006, he participated in Asia Literature Festival in Gwangju, South Korea and also Indonesia International Performance Art Event.

In 2008, he participated in Surabaya International Performance Art Event and Perfurbance#4, in Jogjakarta, Indonesia.

Walaupun saya dilahirkan selepas peristiwa Memali berlaku, tetapi Alhamdulillah, saya terdedah tentang peristiwa Memali melalui Internet. Maka dengan itu, perlulah kita mengalahkan pemimpin yang zalim terhadap rakyat. Suara rakyat, suara keramat.
