Big City Radio brought Top 40 radio back to Chicago on November 14, 1998. 92.7 WCBR-FM/Arlington Heights and WBRO/Kankakee became 92.7 Kiss-FM. Eventually, the call letters flipped to WKIE and WKIF. WDEK/DeKalb joined the simulcast in February, 1999.

Program Director Chris Shebel produced this video of the station's first year. It actually starts in October, BEFORE the station is even launched. This is Part 2 of 2. Included:
