Think of the context everyone, please. Argentina is highly racist. There is no excusing what this guy did, but he probably experienced racist comments/glares before the match, throughout the match, and throughout his stay in the country. A human being can only take so much before he snaps and internalizes, or in this case, externalizes his frustration. I'm saying that it's highly likely that he "freaked out" like this because he was disrespected for being black in South America.
