Lewisville Police are investigating the theft of equipment and supplies from an ambulance at the emergency room of Medical Center of Lewisville. On July 20, at approximately 1:55 a.m., a Coppell Fire Department ambulance delivered a patient to Medical Center of Lewisville. A light-colored Jeep Grand Cherokee pulls along side of the ambulance in the bay shortly after paramedics and the patient are out of sight. The driver of the Jeep gets out and enters the side door of the ambulance. The suspect removes a defibulator and two bags containing equipment, supplies and medication. The suspect places the stolen items in the Jeep and drives away. The approximate value of the stolen items is $30,000.

The Lewisville Fire Department also had a medication kit stolen from an ambulance. Detectives are still attempting to determine exactly when and where the kit was stolen.

Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to contact the Lewisville Police Department's Crime Tip Line at 972-219-8477 or Crime Stoppers at 800-388-8477 (TIPS).
