All you really need to know to make chinese loose leaf teas. Too many people make tea too hard or complex. Get some leaves, put some hot water on it, and drink it. Anything more is pretty much just for fun, or show. Some people may take that as heresy, but don't let them stop you from just trying it at home. You don't need anything fancy to make a great cup of tea.
What is kungfu tea? Kungfu just means skillful/artful. So, we use high quality leafs, usually in significant amount, and brew for a short time. Flash brewing more leaves lets you get more flavor without being bitter. It's also not wasteful, because you can do it many times until the tea is exhausted. That is why kungfu vessels are small. A 100mL teapot may seem tiny, but when you drink 15 of them, it adds up.
Thank you, but why even use tap water? Why do the authentic Chinese tea makers all use that very same tea kettle? Interesting! (What brand is it, please?) Thank you!

@chisaoboy I used tap water because it is simplest. As long as your tap water is good quality, why use something else? If your tap water is bad, use bottled water.
As for the tea kettle... do you mean the gaiwan (white cup with a lid?) or the silver thing that you put on the stove? The actual kettle is just a kettle. I use a stainless steel on from target here, but it's not that critical really.
