Once oil and gasoline become too expensive for the public to use for cars, California will completely rot. Cali was built around the car which is not a sustainable mode of transportation for the long-term future.

@sonicfan7 Not Michigan's high speed rail. That's funded (ironically) by CSX and Norfolk Southern.

@frodoshop I don't think that it will be shinkansen, according to the video it will be a mixture of the TGV's and 700T's.

@jmjfanss The problem is that world wide, every goverment is controlled and corrupted by Industry. Industry is a demonic thing tbh, it is the one thing that oughts to leech the life out of all people on earth. Money Money Money, they CBA'd if everyone died as long they had all their money. But we have to live with that and the goverment protects us from the glutonious grips from the industry.
Here in europe if you are to sick to work, you'll be supported by the goverment instead starving.

i lived in japan for a while and have gone back many times. i've ridden the shinkansen a lot and i can say it's THE MOST reliable transport system in the world. i think this will work great especially in a crowded state like CA
