Hey this is my new amp. It's an old made in Canada tube amp, by Pine Electronics also known as Pepco. Well thats what it started life as, now its in a new tweed with a 10" Eminence Delta Demon, recapped, three prong cord, new tubes, it's basically been rebuilt/renewed. All the work was done by a local, well known, amp tech named Brit Fader.

Simple volume, tone, tremolo controls. Tube lineup is 6V6GT, 12AX7, (2)6AV6....kinda like a vibro champ. A lot of power out of a single 6V6, sounds at least about 7-8 watts to me. the 10' speaker doesn't hurt either :)

Sounds really good to me, although at first it seemed like a one trick pony, because volume at three to ten it's just about the same nice & dirty tone, just louder......but around two you get a good amount of volume & low end and some nice cleans, add in a bit of that tremolo (which I find pretty cool) and even nicer. So yeah you can get a nice variety of sounds out of this one! I'm lovin' in!!

Sorry for the bad playing this time around, I haven't played much lately so I had nothing interesting to play for you guys, so after about a minute and a half or so just some random bad noodling . I'll do another video at some point, take my time dial in some nice tones and play something cooler :) I'm just inpatient and wanted to get a video up of my new toy!

I'd like to have a better setup to do these videos, other than just my digital camera. Maybe down the road, I'm look into it a bit more.

  • hey grev, i'm considering buying an old pine model 209 amp, pretty close to yours. can you remember the tubes that your amp was initially set up to run (assuming you changed some when you rebuilt) ? i wanna make sure i can get 'em .

  • @movetom

as far as I know the tube layout wasn't changed on this amp. so 6V6GT 12AX7 & (2) 6AV6

  • It is a fantastic Amp, but I have to say sorry about Pepco portion, Pine was the brain child of my grandfather Saul Pinchuk, and along with my father, Paul created these amps. Years later Pepco which are my fathers initials was created. So proud to see my grandfathers creation live on. We own 3

  • Hey man, I live in Halifax as well! I found this video because I was searching for any information on Pepco. I snapped up an old tube amp off Kijiji from this guy in Dartmouth. He actually has an ad up right now for his own guitar line that are primarily Fender copies called "Liquid Gee". He didn't know who made the amp but it said made in Canada, I thought it was an old Garnet but when I typed the CSA# it came up as a Pepco! It's a great sounding little stencil amp.

  • @grev21 thank you !

  • @pinny13 ... pinchy... you dirty bastard.. you own 3 and you wont sell one to your good old friend Sean... i'm hurt

  • LOVE the warm'ish character of the Delta Demon.
