  • This movie is a master piece and Dench and Smith are absolutelly superb. Judy Dench in this movie is the perfect picture of what love should look like. Amazing!!!! The sound track is a killer. The beauty of it all can not be described but felt deeply. I first saw this movie last year around december, I had just lost daddy and this song has a very special meaning to me. We need more movies like this one.

  • Im off to Cornwall on holiday next week camping near the beach at St Agnes, I wont be able to get this music out of head the whole time

  • @babyycat Yes I fully agree with you, they really are, even for me here in Holland or the Netherlands, this film is my all time favorite, Dinkie.

  • for anyone who has ever been in love, or dreams of being in love, this piece is breathtakingly beautiful...

  • @babyycat Right, that scene made me cry. Judy is a lot like an aunt who I fondly appreciate. I don't know Maggie in other films, but certainly she is a great actress.

  • if you can't be moved by beutifull music like this you have no soul .,.... divine

  • It's the violin that cries the best...

  • The "lavender" bit reminds me of lovely soft talc powder - Lavender scented - of course. Such was the movie. Soft, tender with ever-so-slight regret. Just lovely.

  • This was a great movie, if you haven't seen it , it is really lovely.

  • True, music like these are rare..
