@villian110 What an asinine statement. It's YOU who has no original material. In case you been living under a rock, many original bands start out as cover bands before they 'make it'. Many of these bands (their fans included) are curious to hear what they can do with some of the songs they used to cover back before they had mansions and money. DL are one of the finest acts in music history and for you to slag them as you did only shows how small your world really is.
My god I wanted to hate this... It's not bad at all.. but you can hear the extra post production that went into this track to make it a pretty damn good cover. Bowie is hands down one of the hardest musical artists to cover.
i like all those stupid theories here that they did it illegally or they didn't have permission so they didn't release it or they didn't state that this is a cover.... you're funny, people... anyone with a slightest idea about rock music knows the original. and anyone with a bit bigger idea about rock music knows that def leps are big fans and friends with bowie and his backing band of the early days. having permission had nothing to do here. they just released it on a ltd. ed. version.
@villian110 i think it's sad that you know so little of Def Leppard. I hope you've rectified that situation in the last 7 months since you posted your un-informed comment.
I am so confused, LylesJoseph....How is this not properly marked as a cover?...First of all, I have bought many albums over the years where the only way I knew it was a cover was (a) I had heard it before by the original artist or (b) in the writing credits of the song....There is also the fact that this was recorded for an entire album of covers, so what is so not clear about this bieng a cover?...Maybe I missed something?

whats wrong with breathing new life into an old song and reintroducing great music to a new generation. Its a great album. Well done Def Leppard.

@villian110 So your telling me that Weird Al has no musical talent cause he only does parodies of songs already written? come on man.
