Two starts, two wins. That's Colin Kaepernick's mark so far in 2012 for the 8-2-1 San Francisco 49ers. Kaepernick led San Francisco past New Orleans 31-21 in Week 12, an impressive feat considering the Niners were on the road in hostile territory. For the second time in six days, the 49ers defense harassed the opposing quarterback, this time finishing with 5 sacks of Drew Brees. David Fucillo recaps the impressive win.

Just keep showing how arrogant you are. If you are a true 49ers fan you wouldn't keep questioning Jim's decision when it has proven to work. He is with these guys everyday basically. He is going to make the best decision for his team. You sound like my dad who said against the Viking, "If Kaepernick is better he would be starting." How many passes did Smith throw down the field for more than 20+ yards against Arizona? 0 the only one that went that far was Randy Moss catching and running for 45yd

Arizona finished 5-11. What happened in crunch time against the giants last year in the playoffs? Smith was 1 for 12 on 3rd down conversions. And when it came time to get a TD on their final drive in the fourth quarter, they settled for a field goal. They left it to chance in OverTime and what happened? Kaepernick and the SF offense didn't settle for a field goal against the Falcons and hope for OT. They won it. You build your stats in the regular season, You build your legacy in the playoffs.

So that 18-19 game with a rating of 157 and 95% completions vs. a top 10 ranked ARI defense AT Arizona wasn't a good game?

Get a clue chump. Tebow would look good on this team.

Kap sucks? haha. You know the stuff you post online can come back to hurt you. Looks like Kap has the highest playoff QBR (94.1). And he ended up 3rd in season (76.8) QBR. Smith finished 7th. Smith's only great game was against the saints in the playoffs last year. I don't mind smith at quarterback, but kaepernick has the ability to get the ball down the field with accuracy. Smith is a quarterback that lives and dies on checking the ball down. Kaepernick has proven he is better for the job.

Ya, against THE WORST DEFENSE IN THE NFL.......

Kap posted ONE passing TD and a rating of 90.

If not for TWO defensive TD's, SF would have lost that game.

20-5 in the last 2 seasons. Led the NFL in yards per attempt, completion %(70) and was 3rd with a rating of 104.1. On passes in which the ball traveled more than 15 yards in the air, Smith was NUMBER ONE IN THE NFL. He was 3rd, behind Payton and Brady, in QB rating on plays where he was able to get rid of the ball in 3.4 secs or less.

If that isn't good enough to keep a job then nothing ever will be.
