Hollywood Warfare: How the Pentagon Censors the Movies

While collaboration between the US military and Hollywood, of course, is not a new phenomenon, few moviegoers realize how much control the Pentagon has over the American film industry.

Producers and directors wanting access to military equipment, locations or personnel, or even Department of Defense archival footage, which was always very costly, were required to have their work vetted by the Pentagon. Those prepared to reshape their movies in line with Pentagon directives were given substantial financial and technical help; those unwilling to accept its dictates were denied any assistance.

"subliminal advertising " ITS BLATANT ADVERTISING , There's Nothing subliminal about Hollywood movies and the liaison clown is a liar suggesting there was no drug use by military when there were many service men hooked on drugs and some DID murder and some did rape . Many service men are honorable people but the system allowed brutality like shooting MAM , military aged males from helicopters , Powell bragged about in his book .

I ought to say that this isn't really control as such. I mean, judging by this video, it isn't, is it? It's just a large influence over a certain genre of film, possible only when the people making the film let them have it.

Let's not think that there's some sort of Government conspiracy to control the media going on here, or are doing so already.

Nevertheless, the point is valid: they're trying to sway people's opinion through the media, and that's wrong.

Yes, let's deny our support to films that show the soldiers getting scarred, wounded and traumatised by war, showing that they're not invincible, because God forbid that anyone ever realise that they're human fucking beings, not fucking pawns, and actually ask for them to be treated like such.
