Thats right, the party of the day decide.Time the British public booted out this self serving idiots who seem to have forgotten the are public servants, not dictators.I,like millions of other Brits, will only vote for a party that gives us a vote on the EU.I will also not vote for any current MP who stole through the Expense scandel.Being governed by some Twat I never voted for holds no appeal to me.Love to see all MPs on the dole, bunch of wankers.

Why did the irish public get to vote on this subject? They too have a Government also could a Countries parliamentary sovereignty be changed by the European union so that all countries unite as one sovereignty?
-
Why should it be up to the people to decide? They already elected the members of Parliament.
The British democratic system, like most European systems, is based on parliamentary sovereignty. A referendum in the UK is never binding.

The UK parliament may have voted on the Treaty fair enough but surely it should be up to the UK Public to decide? The current Prime Minister was also not voted in by the UK Public. Will Parliament decide the next Government or will the European President decide? We must draw a line somewhere otherwise democracy may cease as it seems to be doing now.

The UK parliament already voted on it. Let them do their job.

If the czech republic ratifies the lisbon treaty, there will not be a single nation west of russia that will have any soverignty & they will all be under the control of britain. This is the final step before WW3 can take place. Get ready, you uninformed sheeple because here it comes. "oh, if everyone is signing it there must be something good about it." UNBELIEVABLE how ignorant the majority of people are to the only things that matter.

Sounds like the US. The citizenry is not very well informed. Going along to get along. Everyone for a different reason.
Why has the UK public not been asked to vote on this subject? I thought we were a democracy? Things have changed for the worse in the UK. It seems the rest of Europe have no idea what is involved either. The only People that seem to want this Treaty are the Politicians that caused the Worlds recession in the first place. power hungry idiots i guess.
I like how the Irish voted No & then had to vote again? Lol.

What i cant understand is WHY european citizens are not being asked ( if the czechs pass the treaty) to vote for a european president, i mean, wtf ? There isnt even a hint of such a thing ! Why not ? People who voted yes to this treaty are simply retards and didnt even bother to look into it. Irish people voted yes because of economic threats, sad, very sad indeed !
