*make sure to use a laser print copy (like a copy machine) on regular copy paper. it works best on smooth, sanded wood. you can buy the other supplies at your local craft store. -have fun :)

Thought I'd share. I made 20 of these things over the holidays... some on sanded wood, some on textured, some from laser jet and some from ink jet. Most turned out okay, but in some areas, the photo part peeled off with the paper. It was very 'hit and miss' and I couldn't quite pinpoint what worked best in the end. Best advice: Make sure ALL air bubbles are gone when you place the picture on the gel medium. BE PATIENT and let it dry as long as possible! Rub GENTLY to remove paper.

Have you tried a hardware store? Here in the USA they'll cut larger pieces of wood into smaller sizes for free at the hardware store.

AC Moore does carry gel medium. It's in the section where they carry paint brushes, tubes of paint, acrylic sprays etc.. Use a coupon because it's a lot more expensive than buying from online stores like dickblick. Michael's carries it as well, also in the art section, normally near the blank canvases.

How do u keep the picture from coming off when rubbn tha excess paper off cause im haven trouble with spots coming off in places
