Today's radicalized grassroots Right might be "extreme" in their devotion to limited government--they're also more traditionally conservative than anything the GOP has represented in decades.

  • As Ron Paul said at CPAC, 'Government is the enemy of liberty.' He's exactly right. I've never seen government work in my lifetime and have no confidence it can be 'fixed' to do anything positive. It merely steals from me, restricts my liberty, kills people around the globe and wrecks the economy. There's nothing remotely good about Washington, DC and the horrid monster called the US Federal Government.

  • I agree, no more government. Government will spend all of us in to the poor house.

  • Big government is a myth you nimrod. Wall Street and corporations own government. It's privatize the profits and socialize the losses. Free market capitalism is a neo-liberal myth. No such thing exists.

  • Should have guessed SA was a Bircher. =)

  • I'm pretty sure Frank Rich hates Bush and especially Cheney more than he hates Ron Paul. Any sane or serious liberal would.

  • "For decades"...if you don't see Reagan and Palin as just as big-spending and unreliable as the rest of the GOP establishment, then that's cowardly because they are.

  • Thats bull sh*t! how many historical or contemporary examples can you give of a nation governanceless?

  • @Tnoy34rt Then it's perfect for you.

  • This video is made for morons...

  • The Tea Party's "counter-conservatism"??? Like most emotion-driven folks (liberals), he is living in his head and thinks things he concocts up there is reality and has actually taken place in the physical world. The Tea Parties are about less taxation and smaller, manageable and accountable government. That's mostly all of it. Some gripes here and there, such as border security... it's a TEA PARTY... a la BOSTON TEA PARTY. It's conservative. Like our our nation's founders were. And M.L. King was

  • @billyboy647 We should never put our public school system in the hands of public unions. They've dumbed our kids up. Trillions in unfunded obligations I guess these Anti Tea Protesters think we can print endless amounts of paper and claim it has value? I don't know what is more astonishing the ignorance of the Anti Tea Partiers or the arrogance?

  • @anarchylogic Agreed the founders warned about this and that is why our elected officials are required to uphold the constitution. Regrettably they seem to think it is open for interpretation and liberal whack jobs advocate for this behavior. Many people especially libs think we live in a Democracy instead of a Republic & don't know the difference.
