@punksexpistol Oh god have you read your words? Without France Concorde would never have existed as well for England, this aircraft flew for over 30 years with only one tragic crash. Concorde was the pride of two nations that have proven technological advances over other powerful countries. The crash has happened under the colours of Air France but this could have happened to British Airways. Your comment is unfair and disrespectful to the men who made this dream possible ... and I'm french.

they knew that, there are some alarms for that but the pilots decided not to aboard the take off because like all others planes the concorde was able to fly a little with only one engine

Concorde is ahead of all times. Even today no SST. And it's 2009. Imagine the first flight in 1969! At that thime they thought cars where flying in the 21th century and that we can fly to moon.

And they would not have been able to stop safely, Concorde needs 3000 metres for any chance of stopping safely, when they pass that mark you are committed to the take off.

it wasnt air bus and air france lack of will..

air bus sed they will keep going but will coast more to keep it going and it was to much money... so they had to stop.. but i remeber her so well ova my nans back garden as she lives like 2 secs from heathrow i miss her alot and wish they at least kept 1 still flying today..

wen i have kids will b funny to tell them wen i was ur age we newst 2 fly 2 times the speed of sound now we dont lol lifes weird :)

The crash was terrible but not relevant. It was the best plane for ever.
