I've seen lots of potential copyright violations on YOUTUBE, but the ones that seem to get the most attention and get turned off are the ones which prove a political point. This Carlin video short is less than five-minutes...I mean, come on.

Watch the embedded video here without YOUTUBE interference (scroll down the webpage):

"The National parties and their presidential candidates, with the Eastern Establishment assiduously fostering the process behind the scenes, moved closer together and nearly met in the center with almost identical candidates and platforms, although the process was concealed as much as possible, by the revival of obsolescent or meaningless war cries and slogans (often going back to the Civil War). The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to the doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can "throw the rascals out" at any election without leading to any profound or extreme shifts in policy. Either party in office becomes in time corrupt, tired, unenterprising, and vigorless. Then it should be possible to replace it, every four years if necessary, by the other party, which will be none of these things but will still pursue, with new vigor, approximately the same basic policies."
(Political insider & mentor to Bill CLinton) Carroll Quigley, Tragedy and Hope: A History of the World in Our Time (New York: Macmillan, 1966), pp. 1247-1248. http://www.jonesreport.com/article/05_08/30quigley.html

"The myth that the United States is a democracy is probably a far stronger 'reality' in the minds of Americans than the actual reality that it is a tightly controlled secret oligarchy with a republican front. But in this case, which is the greater real reality? The American believes his myth enough that he dies for it. He fights the "war to end all wars" and then the "war to save the world FOR DEMOCRACY" (to quote some popular world war slogans). In the American mind, he achieves victory even though he has fought and died for a myth. And even when the mythical goals he fought for aren't even achieved, he believes he has achieved a victory."

  • You can't hide the truth fuck head.

  • I'm surprised I haven't seen this happen to Ron Paul videos.

  • This video has been deemed unfit by the governments institute for brainwashing and proper gander, for this reason the audio has been removed. Thank You

  • @lbk000 Youtube wouldn't know a valid copyright claim if it bit them on the God-damn ass.

  • @lbk000 the latter of course

  • Well, this is the first George Carlin video that I have seen (and I've watched a bunch) that has had the sound disabled.
