Touhou 7 PCB ~ Yukari Boss Battle Pt.1

One of my more recent playthroughs of the Phantasmal stage of Touhou 7. Probably one of my better runs as I capture 2 spellcards I've never captured before. Oh, it's also the play that set my new high score, though I play for survival, not score.

For once Fraps is actually working for me, so I have sound on this video! I'll probably upload more videos in the near future or the other bosses.

Yukari is one of the few extra (well, phantasmal) stage bosses that I really have almost no trouble on. Her stage gives me trouble in a few spots normally, but Yukari herself is not hard. If you can actually beat the game (stage 4, Youmu, and Yuyuko are pretty hard) I'd recommend Ran as a good extra stage boss to start your extra stage domination on (though Suwako is really better).

I went crazy with annotations in this video. Red is a comment about my playthrough or something I thought of, Green is referencing text in game, and blue is a little fact or tidbit about the game. Enjoy!

I believe PCB 7's extra boss stage is Ran with a mid boss chen and your character is sakuya...

@DirectDeathX After beating the extra stage of Touhou 7 (which is Ran with a midboss Chen) with any character, and additionally capturing 60 spell cards (trivial at best) you unlock the Phantasm stage, which is Yukari with a midboss Ran.

And in PCB you can play as Reimu, Marisa, or Sakuya. You just see Sakuya in most videos because I believe it was A has a bit of a homing option without the power loss of Reimu B (Reimu A is still stronger) and Sakuya B is the best for points.

@azsxdc59 I'm glad you enjoyed it. I always think it's pretty interesting to see what people are thinking when they do certain things. I don't think I'm that good (can't play on lunatic or no-miss extra stages) but I can tell you this, practice makes perfect!

how I could play that version since which version has ran as boss and other yukari as boss?

To fight Yukari, first defeat Ran with any character. Then "capture" 60 different spellcards in the game. This will unlock the Phantasmal stage, which is Yukari. To play it select extra and choose phantasmal.
