Tzahal is de muziekgroep van het Israëlische leger, een doorontwikkeling van de "zangers van koning David" (1040-1000 vóór Christus). Soms treden ze op in Nederland en België. Hier in Groningen.
Zie ook het Wilhelmus:
Als David moeste vluchten
voor Sauel den tiran,
zo heb ik moeten zuchten
als menig edelman.
Maar God heeft hem verheven,
verlost uit alder nood,
een koninkrijk gegeven
in Israël zeer groot.

Tzahal, the Israëlian Defence Forces music group, is the continueing development of King David's (1040-1000 before Christ) singers. Sometimes they perform outside Israël, in The Netherlands and Belgium. Perhaps in more countries. Here in Groningen, The Netherlands.
The Netherlands have 12 provinces. Its development was crowned by the 12th one Flevoland with its capital Lelystad ("Lily-city"). Salomons temple had two pillars, Jacin and Boaz which were crowned by ... lilies.
The centuries old Dutch anthem reflects the ties between The Netherlands and Israël, one verse reads:
When David had to fly
for tyrant Saul,
so I had to sigh
like many a nobleman.
But God did raise him,
delivered from all distress,
and gave him a very
big kingdom, Israel.
