http://www.windycitynovelties.com/12274p/glowing-ice-cubes.html -- Glowing Ice Cubes are a great, easy, inexpensive way to "lighten up" any drink or occasion.

Available in 4 colors these ice cubes are simple to use. Why settle for a normal iced tea when you can have a GLOWING ICED TEA! Having a Margarita? make it a GLOW-A-RITA.

You get where I'm going with this. Having trouble getting your kids to drink anything other then Soda? Try making their favorite juice or Milk REALLY LIGHT UP.

  • I've noticed that glow sticks don't light up as much when in cold water.

If I use these for a punch (which has actual ice in it) and they stay there for a while will it ruin the brightness from them?

  • @IceGuyProd Good questions IceGuy. The chemicals involved with glow products and their operation (chemiluminescence) are affected by temperature. Cold will slow the rate of chemiluminescence and thus create a dimmer effect than a glow product at room temperature. In the same vein, heat will increase the rate of chemiluminescence and actually make the glow sticks glow brighter than 'normal'. Consider using our LED drink stirrers instead. They aren't affected by the temperature. - Ryan

  • whats inside the ice cube!? to make it glow??

  • @vitrovorticity That's a very good question. Inside the ice cube are chemicals, which when combined, start a reaction called chemiluminesence. This is the process that makes all things which glow (sticks, necklaces, ice cubes) work.

  • @vitrovorticity The same chemicals used in glow sticks and glow necklaces is found inside our glow ice cubes. It's a secret formula, sorry! - Ryan

  • I don't get it. Are the icecubes edible? Do they actually make your drink colder?

  • @DamianColucci No, they are not edible, and while they do make your drink look 'cooler' they will not make it colder.
