Bell and Young the Garden

John Connelly Presents/ Brooklyn Front- Garden:
Artists DOUG YOUNG and JASON ROBERT BELL collaborated in a bizarre circus of the absurd featuring giant wood props, remote control robots, chainsaws, ice sculptures, snowcones, fountains, fire, topiary, cream pies and more. "Garden" is a performance/installation that re-engages the age-old battle between man and nature by featuring the basic elements of fire, water, earth and air as both foe and inspiration.

Developing out of dialogue the two artists have shared over the last two years "Garden" explores the question how can one continue to make "Art" today that is both immediate and somehow mythic. The response is an unusual amalgam of installation and action using all available talents and abilities - balance, strength, endurance, speed, craft, construction and imagination
