Believe I'm on the right track now....took the 'right' fork in the crossroads.

I've flagged more irons this week than I did all of last year.

  • Nice swing. No pronation move (nice flat wrist), single plane, great right arm & hand move through the ball with a somewhat passive left side. I'm guessing you have serious hook problems at times because of the strong movement off the right hip and the tendency evidenced in the video to go passive (in relation to the right) with the left side. If you were swinging as briskly with the left you would end up much deeper left and behind your head. Nice balance.

  • Thanks for the comments. I actually never have hook problems, my miss is a pull fade. I have the most trouble with trying to draw the ball....it tends to go very straight, so if I set up for a Draw, I make sure it doesn't have to draw to be playable.

  • Thanks for the reply. You have an exceptional transition out of the backswing (that stays precisely on plane). It is so seamless that my first looks at the video were prejudiced somewhat by my familiarity with the so-called two-plane swing (a misnomer but I digress). What (or who) would you say is the model or exemplar for your vizualization of your swing? and thanks again for going easy with the first reply. MC

  • The model is Ben Hogan for the visualization.

  • Beautiful swing, please tell us your swing thoughts!

  • I have made quite a few videos doing just that...check out my other vids.

  • nice song this , what is it? oh great book if you like ..."inner game of golf" = D

  • That looks like a great swing!

  • Very nice. The simplicity and lack of moving parts is very good.

How long you been playing for? What is your handicap-scratch? Pro? You are clearly a very good player!!

  • Thanks. You seem to have eliminated that "Hogan" pause or distinctive transition by employing a single plane or single slot so that you just motor through the transition. Pretty much seamless.

When I first linked my arms or release to the right hip, I hit wicked slices (weight on outside of left leg). Then I hit quackers when I moved the weight inside. Great swings, thanks again for posting! I found some of your others, as well. MC

  • Just click on my username it will link to my page. :D
