Management compensation - I worked for a man who did not act with others interests first. He was an investment banker. That man is now head of one of Canada's top 20 public companies with one of the highest salaries. Investors want someone who makes them money not someone who is so ethical. There are ethical leaders who will not take the huge salary differential too.

Thank you so much. I remember Mintzberg's book with a photo of him skiing on the back. He said he works so as to ski or something like that. This was way before work life balance. He was way ahead of his time.
