@bigbadwolff1 St. Paul the Apostle tells us to keep all our traditions handed down to us, Jesus himself teaches us the Lord's Prayer (which is to be repeated), and the Bible tells us to do good works, for if we do no works we have no faith. Christ died for our sins, and the mass is our offering up him to the Father, so we may indeed be forgiven.
@CJCappella Did you ever think that maybe the people in your parish don't have money for designer suits or something? Even people who seem like they have money because they own house and have a job are suffering in this economy and wearing hand me downs
He is not being offered again and again. His sacrifice is the sacrifice foretold by Malachi and pointed to by Melchizededk and the ancient Temple sacrifices. The sacrifice of Calvary is re-presented to the Father; the Catholic belief is that the congregation is literally transported back in time to view that saving sacrifice when it is offered, in an unbloody manner, through bread and wine.
@guzek6 No. This is the Melodic Gloria by James Chepponis. It is not from a full Mass Setting.
